I thought I’d share several images I’ve made in the last few weeks and have been working on to share.
Golden Hour over the 13th Fairway, the Eastern Sierras, and the marsh as seen looking southwest from my patio.
A new bird for me! A Rough-winged Swallow with lunch. If I have not made the correct ID for this one please let me know!
Last Friday a friend came up for a Doctor’s appointment and spent the night, but after her appointment, we went out exploring my area looking for some Nevada Wild Mustangs; we had Lady Luck with us b/c we found a small band! Doing a little research we discovered that this Black/Blue Stallion is called Zorro.
Here’s one of Zorro’s band members with some Hitchhikers.
I’m looking forward to getting to know the Wild Mustangs of Nevada and this band.
To close out this week’s post I’ll share a sunset from last week. This was made while I was on my patio.
I hope you’re all having a great week so far, and as they say out here in the Valley, let’s get our Hump Day Dance on and bump those hips! 😂

more to come…
All great shots and the patio just keeps giving the gifts of gorgeous photos. 🙂
Thank you so much, John. I agree!
Wow that is some view from your patio! Of course, I particularly like the horse photos. How thrilling to see them in the wild like that. The stallion certainly looks like a Zorro.
I love this view! I love going to visit the wild horses. This this band was an exciting find. His name fits him perfectly doesn’t it.
I do love the view from your patio, what a beautiful image 🙂
Thank you so much, John!
Oh wow!! You’ve captured some beauties, Deborah!
Thank you so much, Amy!
I see you have a beautiful view! Wonderful collection of ‘this and that’! I love the horses & birds. I am getting caught up with my favorite blogs after being away 10days and getting ready for 2 shows.
Thank you so much Denise! Congratulations on the shows! I hope they and you are very successful!
What a gorgeous view! And what handsome animals! I love the clarity of your photographs. Crisp as ozone. The delicacy of the colors is simply amazing, especially in the same photo with dramatic light.
Thank you so much, Marian! You made my day!! xx
Deborah! That’s the sunset view from your patio? I am swooning. And those wild mustangs- wow! Love the hitchhikers. Stunning photos! Thank you for taking us into your ‘backyard’.
Jennie, yes both the top and bottom images are from my backyard patio. I don’t think I’ll ever stop pinching myself to make sure it’s not a dream, or ever get tired of the view.
You’re very welcome! Thanks, for coming over! 😀
How wonderful. Pinch away. And keep posting those gorgeous views. 🙂
Spectacular. My week is so dull in comparison! I’m always so glad to find beauty here 🙂
Dull? Dull? You had a lovely Date Night this week! Those pictures you shared didn’t look dull!
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment about my blog and images. You made my day!
That was LAST week. This week was just rain and work and errands. Oh, wait, you mean the night we shopped and got Panera for six? Yeah, the alone time was gooo-ooo-ood. Brief, but you’re right, not dull. Still, did I mention rain and work? NO majestic horsies, NO grand horizons! 😛
Oh, I got the week’s mixed up, but you’re week’s are really never dull, from where I’m sitting.
🙂 Thank you! I’ll try to see it your way.

Wonderful photos, Deborah! I especially love the horse with the cowbirds on his back 💕. May I use him/her as a drawing reference some day?
Thank you so much, Myriam! Yes, of course you can. Thank you so much for asking first! I really appreciate that.
Thanks, Deborah! It’s a great photo! 🙂
Looking forward to seeing your drawing of it!
🙂
Delightful photos Deborah! It looks like a wonderful area to explore and photograph of course😊.
Thank you so much, Belinda! It’s been quite exciting discovering the back-roads, dirt roads, and new sights here.
The land’s diversity in your first capture is gorgeous, Deborah! Beautiful mustangs, and congrats on another lifer, happy dance!! 💃💃💃
Thank you so much, Donna! Yes, I did a little happy dance over that swallow. 😊
From your patio Deborah? My, what a view! The pictures are great too. I find the idea of wild horses very romantic, although I suppose the animals themselves don’t feel that way in rough circumstances. But still. The wildest animal we got in my country are escaped parakeets who thrive in our parks. No! Wait! We got wolves since a year or so. They even seem to have produced offspring. Some folks are happy the wolves are back. The owners of sheep on wich the wolves almost exlusively feed not so much. I don’t know. I think I rather have mustangs. 🙂
Me too! The ranchers here in the states that have wolves aren’t so keen on them feeding on their livestock and livelihood either.
Yes, that my backyard view. I am still pinching myself to make sure it’s not a dream. I’m really here!
My week has been okay, but I certainly haven’t seen any landscape like you have here and definitely not any handsome horses. Thank you for sharing. I’m guessing you’re still pinching yourself on this relocation. 🙂
Thank you so much, Judy! We are still pinching ourselves! It’s so beautiful here.
I hope your week stays okay or gets better. How’d the sugar cookies come out? Is your little sewing project staying little?
Sugar cookies were good, and the material has been washed so far. I really have to push myself to sew in the summer. LOL
I really have to want it bad to sew! 😊
My favourite is the mustang with the birds on his back. Wow – just wonderful!!
Isn’t that cute! I like that one a lot too.
so many beautiful captures! each one took my breath away!!
Thank you so much, Jodi!
Beautiful pics. I can’t wait to meet Zorro one day.
Thank you, Jamie! I hope you do meet him!
Man, you have some view. This is like a photo artist’s dream. Loved the Mustangs.
Thank you so much, John! I keep pinching myself to make sure I’m not dreaming. I love this view!
It is terrific.
Gorgeous part of the country. What a perfect playground for your wonderful photography!
We’re loving it here! It’s been really nice for photography too. Thank you so much for the lovely compliment!
Reblogged this on Wolf's Birding and Bonsai Blog.
Lovely images Deborah.
Thank you so much Brian! Hope you’re getting some outdoor time too! I’m catching up and get to your recent post soon!
In between the heavy rain I’ve had a wander around.
Glad to hear that!
