This is a set of doors from my trip to Sedona/Grand Canyon in early November. Whilst waiting for my friends to check-in to our hotel for the night in Grand Canyon I spied these Saloon doors and drew my cell phone the only camera on me at that moment to shoot the doors. “)
Granted these aren’t the doors I immediately think of when the words Saloon, and American Southwest come to mind, but…aren’t they pretty!

That’s a great find! So purdy, you sure the sign wasn’t supposed to say “Salon”? Might even be hiding the vortex behind those doors 😉

They are so unusual, Deborah. I love the raised panels with an almost Celtic/Norse/Viking look to them. One of those descriptions must be right, lol!

Very cool doors, Deborah. I’ve been to Sedona a number of times, but not since the doors challenge started. What beautiful country!

Beautiful, Deborah, even though you didn’t capture them with your official cameras:) I know it has a Southwestern name, but somehow the panels leave an impression of another area. Am curious!

They may not be the ‘typical’ saloon doors (like you said)…but boy aren’t they gorgeous!!! 🙂

I’m with you on this one, Deborah. I’d be barging through those doors* and demanding a free slug of whisky (I’ve seen cowboy films) as compensation for not having bona fide Western Saloon swing doors for me to burst through,
(*I don’t think I’m strong enough to barge through these doors, they look a bit heavy, all those hinges and far too nice.)

ROFL!! Now I’m gonna have an image of you in chaps, and 10 gallon hat all day! 🙂
Thanks for the laugh Phil!
