This week we’re sharing our favorite doors from the past year.

I’ll start with Coventry Cross Church.

The Round House from Put-in-Bay, Ohio

From Florida Quaker Steak and Lube has to be here. I loved the door pulls the most.

Speaking of door pulls I have to include the door my friend in CT sent me from her visit to Gillette Castle with its unique door pull and beautiful door.

Oh, the beautiful turquoise door/gate must be included in my favorites for the year.

I have more favorites than I thought I did for this year.

The little bird bungalows

Last but not least, my favorite door of all. From our house to yours, I wish you a very Merry Christmas!

  1. A great subject and collection of photos. I like that turquoise door in the wall. The purpose seems questionable since it looks like one could just walk around it. I suppose there was more to it at one time but that’s what makes it unusual too.

    1. Isn’t the Round House Bar neat. I wish we had time to go in and see the interior. I hope to go back to do just that. Those bird houses make me smile. Maybe a nice worm a month would pay the rent? ☺️
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Janis!

  2. These are wonderful, Deborah. Isn’t it hard trying to pick just a few? I have a hard time picking a favorite out of this group, but I love the door handles at Florida Quaker Steak and Lube. I also love the door at Gillette Castle (a place I must visit in 2025).

Your door is beautiful! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and I wish you and your family all the best in 2025!

    1. Thank you so much, Dan! I had more than I thought I’d have plus I have several leftovers to share next year that I failed to share this year.
I don’t know how you narrowed down your favorites because you have a plethora of great doors to choose from.
I hope you do get to visit that castle next year. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Dan. I wish the same for you and yours in 2025!

  3. I recognized them all, except for the last. Then, that lack of recognition was explained! Some of my favorites are in the post, and it was fun to see them again — a sort of early Christmas present!
