This week we’re sharing favorite Christmas Doors. I went up to Carson City to photograph and see the Governor’s Mansion display of lights.

Here’s a closer look at the doors, well as close as I could get.

After viewing some of the lights downtown I stopped in Scoup’s a local Ice Cream and Soup cafe for a bowl of soup and saw this door hanging on the wall.

Next week we’re sharing favorite 2024 doors then we’ll have a break until next year.
This post is part of the Thursday Doors challenge hosted by Dan Antion. If you’d like to see more Christmas doors from around the world head on over to his blog here-https://nofacilities.com/2024/12/12/osv-gingerbread-doors/
more to come…

Beautiful! All the decorations help us get into the holiday spirit but it comes too fast these days! I remember as a kid feeling like Christmas Day would never come! 😀

I like the simplicity of the decorations at the mansion, but I really like the hanging door. The illusion of a lace curtain carved from wood is lovely.

Wasn’t that little red door decor cute! I loved the curtain in its window too.

Delightful photos, Deborah. Quite the spacious digs. I do like the doors, and I love that hanging door. You did a great job getting a clear photo in the dark.
Thanks for being such a great supporter of this challenge.

Thank you so much, Dan! I’m glad the image came out. I had to use my cell phone due to an over tightened tension knob on my ballhead.

Ugh, the little nightmares that pop up at the worst time. Very good job with the phone, though.

Quite a stately home Deborah, but Christmas is for all of us, as Jesus came for all people both the poor shepherds and the wealthy wise men. He loves us each the same, and our decorations acknowledge this. The hanging door is a lovely original novelty,

The mansion photos are beautiful. It looks like you could walk on up to the porch.

Thank you, John. I wish I could have moved closer but there are ropes barring to stop people from going to the door.

Those are wonderful pictures Deborah! I like the balcony all around the mansion and of course the decorations. What a crisp photograph that is! The wall-door is cute! 🙂

Thank you so much, Peter! I hope the images look alright on other screens! I shot that with my iPhone because I over tightened my ballhead and didn’t have the tool to loosen it on me. Which reminds me I need to do that today!
