On my way to vote on Tuesday afternoon I spied this doorway and had to stop to add it my collection of doors for Thursday Doors.
This post is part of the weekly challenge Thursday Doors hosted by Dan Antion over at https://nofacilities.com/2024/06/13/csc-model-trains/
Head on over there to see more doors from around the world or join the craze and add a door or two of your own. 😊
more to come…
Oh, I love this doorway. Great find!
Thank you so much, Brenda! I thought so too. 😊
I’m in awe of three things: the placement of the rocks, the way the sky color is in the door paint, and your name in the arch.
Isn’t this gate cool! I love the color of the door. I wondered if all those rocks were on their property? Who ever built that wall did a great job with the rock placement.
LOL! Thank you, I just manipulated my copyright text with Photoshop’s warp tools. It’s amazing what can be done -way more than I know how to do that’s for sure.
Very neat looking door.
Thank you, John!
Well, if this isn’t the best door!
Oh, I’m so glad you think so!
After reading your post this morning a few lines of poetry popped into my head, but then stalled. I’ll be over soon! 😊 I really enjoyed the post.
Thanks, Deborah. 🙂
Very nice, Deborah! I was wondering what was behind the door…
Thank you, Belinda! It’s just their front yard I believe. I didn’t peek?😊
What a beautiful variation on the turquoise/adobe theme that’s so typically southwestern. Despite the different materials, it seems a perfect icon for that particular region.
Isn’t it cool! I nearly burned rubber stopping to see it. 😂 Even though we’re high desert it really works here.
It looks like a water colour painting Deborah. A scene that one would paint 😊
I printed out a copy to give painting it a go. We’ll see how it goes. I don’t do rocks well.
I love that door, Deborah. The entire scene is interesting. I love the way the door stands out. It looks like it’s meant to be opened.
Nice, well worn doors have histories and it take a person that understands doors to unlock their histories.
😊That’s a quote worth keeping!!
That is a beautiful door, in a gorgeous colour.
Thanks, Jay! I’m glad you like it too.
Oh this is a door I want to open, Deborah!!!
Me too, Rebecca, me too!! 😊
🤗🤗🤗
Love this photo. What an interesting door!
Isn’t it fun! Thank you so much, Ally!
A terrific door and photo, Deborah.
Thank you, John!
😁
What a beautiful door… I love that color. (Nice placement of your watermark too.)
Thank you so much, Janis! 😊
That is a more than worthy Thursday Door Deborah! How bright and sunny! (Says a somber man in a year summer seems to have abandoned his country 🙂 ) And cool to know you have a second home there! 🙂
Thank you so much, Peter! I sure hope Summer finds you all soon!!
The colors on the sky against the archway door are beautiful contrast 🙂
It is isn’t it. Thank you so much, Kathleen! I may try to paint this one.
And the way you added your name to the archway makes it a wonderful entryway into your world!
Thank you so much! 😊
Good one. That azure door contrasts nicely with the stone wall around it.
I’m glad you think so too.
