Here are a few images of some critters I’ve seen this month while out birding.
Big Horn Sheep- Males: These guys were such a great treat to see! I also saw Ewes with lambs up higher in the hills, and further west, but the images aren’t good as they were too far out of my lenses range.

I’m glad you captured them, Deborah!
Thank you, Miriam!
You’re welcome, Deborah!
Deborah, these are excellent wildlife shots. I love seeing animals like this in a wild.
Thank you so much, John! It’s always so fun to see them in the wild.
Beautiful! Always great to see wild horses!
Thank you so much, Kendall! It is!!
Oh so wonderful to see wild horses and bighorn sheep, Deborah. It’s one of the reasons I like birding so much, it takes you out into the field where all kinds of flora and fauna greet you. How very exciting for you!
Thank you so much, Jet! I like birding for the same reasons. In fact I got into birding and wildlife being a landscape photographer. 😃
Three beauties, Deborah!
Thank you so much, Belinda!😃
How wonderful to see these animals while out birding. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your recent images. Good for you for being out there with your camera.
It was so exciting! Thank you so much, Robert!
Wow, Deborah! It must have been wonderful to see them in person. Hugs.
Great shots!
Thank you, Pit!!
Love, love, love. I’d really love to see bighorn sheep but wild horses are great too of course. 🙂
Thank you, Janet! It was so cool seeing the sheep. I’d only seen them in Montana before but, knew they were here in NV somewhere. Now I know where one band is. 😃
Made me smile with these three. 🙂 In the first photo, the gentleman in the center looks like he’s posing just for you.
I think he was their Sentry. Thank you so much, Judy! They made me smile too. It was more like a nature hike than birding one that morning. It was an amazing gift. 😃
I am always happy to see shots of bighorns and that goes for this one too, Deborah. When your glass isn’t long enough for a more candid portrait you describe the photograph as a “ramscape”. 🙂 Caught in their element.
I once saw “wild” horses (they are actually ponies) on Assateague Island. I used quotes because although they are wild they are also looked after and auctioned off. Your wild Mustangs are truly wild and nice to see.
LOL! I love your title and caption! They are a wonderful sight to see in the wild.
Terrific photos, Deborah.
Thank you so much, John. I’m glad you like the images of these neat animals.
😊
Great photos of something I’ve never seen in the wild.
Thank you so much, Ally! It was the first time I’ve seen Big Horn Sheep here in NV. I was so excited to see them! The Mustangs are always so fun to see in the wild.
We don’t see those in the wild over here. 🙂 Great shots!
Thank you so much, Peter! This was the first time I’d seen Big Horn Sheep in the wild here in NV. It was exciting!
What a treat to be able to see these wild creatures while you are out! Thanks for sharing.
Deb
It really was a treat, Deb! Thank you so much!!
There’s nothing wrong with “this and that.” Looking forward to seeing what wildflowers you found.
Thank you so much, Steve!
These are wonderful photos, Deborah. The Wild Mustangs are amazing. It’s so good to see them out on their own.
Thank you so much, Dan! It is pretty great to see them in the wild.
