Whatever Weds. This and That April 2023

Here are a few images of some critters I’ve seen this month while out birding.

Big Horn Sheep- Males: These guys were such a great treat to see! I also saw Ewes with lambs up higher in the hills, and further west, but the images aren’t good as they were too far out of my lenses range.

Wild Mustang-Stallion

Wild Mustang- Mare

I have birds and wildflowers too that I’ll be sharing soon.

  1. Oh so wonderful to see wild horses and bighorn sheep, Deborah. It’s one of the reasons I like birding so much, it takes you out into the field where all kinds of flora and fauna greet you. How very exciting for you!

  2. I am always happy to see shots of bighorns and that goes for this one too, Deborah. When your glass isn’t long enough for a more candid portrait you describe the photograph as a “ramscape”. 🙂 Caught in their element.

I once saw “wild” horses (they are actually ponies) on Assateague Island. I used quotes because although they are wild they are also looked after and auctioned off. Your wild Mustangs are truly wild and nice to see.
