The snow plows, and crews were very, very busy this last week reopening all the major roads into and out of NV/CA. He-Man and I are so thankful for them!!! With their hard work and a break in the weather we took advantage on Christmas Eve day and went to Baby Girl’s for Christmas. Then we got stuck there for several days. We can’t complain!! 🥰 It was lovely hanging out with the them and boys a bit longer.

Yesterday our preferred route over Carson Pass opened up so we headed home.

I wanted to compose a new still-life for this year’s last post, but I haven’t had a chance this past week to do anything so I’ll end the year with an old image.

It’s been a year hasn’t it. Let’s hope 2022 is even better. I wish you all a very

  1. Deborah, I’m so happy to know that you and your family were safe from those fires. I don’t get real news coverage, just my youtube feed, so I wasn’t clear quite where that was happening.
Wishing you all good things in 2022. Hugs on the wing!

  2. Wow Deborah! The Sierras have been bombarded with snow, glad you got your window to spend some time with Baby Girl and family! Happy New Year to you and all your family. Love always Cheri, Tony & Cedar

      1. Like you, we desperately want to be able to travel again…We dipped our toes into international travel by spending 28 days in Playa del Carmen in Mexico in November. It went well but that was before the Omicron variant. We are still crossing fingers that we will be able to get away in March/April and then do the two trips we have planned for June and then November…

  3. I was thinking of you when we saw the news about those snow storms. I’m glad you and He-man were able to get there in time for Christmas. Having to stay longer, that’s a bonus 🙂

    Happy New Year, Deborah.

  4. That image works for me. It’s been quite busy here as well, so nothing overtly New Years for me. But I pray that 2022 will be a back-to-normal year for all of us and that your year will be filled with blessings. Depending on my parents’ health, this might be an in-person year as well. ❤
