Such a dear photograph, Deborah! Hope you are having a wonderful week. I fell behind here visiting, explanation on the eagle juvenile flight post. . . xo
Thank you so much Robin! Will read that comment next to find out what’s going on.
Nice capture, I’ll never seen this woodpecker.
Thank you John!
I love the color and texture of the tree, and the little woodpecker is so beautiful!
Beautiful photograph!
👏I love woodpeckers!
Me too! I don’t see these guys very often. I see the Acorn Woodpeckers a lot though.
In Costa Rica it was the pileated woodpeckers. Like Woody!
I have never seen one of those and I’d love to one day. How cool that you have!
They are lovely! And quite large! Have seen a few here too.
Great capture … nice and sharp!
Thank you so much Denise!
Great shot Deborah. Not only is the bird amazing, I love the contrasting areas that are missing the bark. 🙂
I know right! I was thinking I need to back to that tree with my macro lens.
Thank you so much Amy!
I know this little guy 🙂
🙂 I’m so glad you do!
We’ve had one sit on the railing of our deck several times while we were sitting outside. Cheeky little guy 🙂
How lucky are you! I rarely see these guys. I see Acorn Woodpeckers all the time.
Well … not exactly lucky. He was doing a number on the railing of our deck.
What better way to convince my husband that the deck wood is rotten and needs replacement than to have a woodpecker come by repeatedly to poke holes in it?!
:0 That should do it.
Stunning photo! What a cutie.
Thank you so much Dan! I agree she’s a cutie.
