❤️!!! Beautiful bird and the colour of the water is lovely. I haven’t seen a Pacific Loon yet but I did get to canoe near a Common Loon this summer which was pretty cool.

Oh that would be pretty cool!

Great shot, Deborah! I’m guessing I’ll not see the Pacific Loon over here on the Atlantic Ocean, lol. 🙂

You never know! 🙂 I’ve seen a Gannet that should not have been just off San Francisco, and I’ve seen a Falcated Duck, and a Vermillion Flycatcher that shouldn’t have been in Central California! 🙂
Thank you Donna!

The water is enchanting and seems like it would relax me, whisking me away on a floating gondola. 🙂 The duck is beautiful!

Love the colors in the water – a nice contrast to your duck. 🙂

I was going to make a joke about Pacific Loon and my ex-wife, but I guess that isn’t appropriate for the start of Lent. Great photo, Deborah.

Oh he looks like a handsome fellow. You did well to capture him, Deborah, I think they like to dive a lot for food 🙂

Thank you so much Phil! He didn’t do too much diving on the morning I saw him so I got some nice shots of him thankfully.

We (I say ‘we’ I mean Susan) has been trying to photograph a grebe at our local reservoir. Anytime she’s close enough he dives under the water and resurfaces too far away again, the canny little devil 🙂

I know how she feels! Those Grebes are a bit skittish, and dive like that when I’m trying to photograph them as well.
