I don’t often see pigeons swimming!!! such wonderful clarity!
Me either! It was really neat to see and learn there’s a Sea Pigeon!
Thank you so much Hannah!
Nice shot, Deborah! He’s definitely giving you a look, lol. 🙂
Thank you so much Donna!
Beautiful picture and so peaceful!
Thank you! I’m so glad you like it and found peaceful!
It’s quite recently astonishing to me to surmise that this little animal is agreeable ashore, on the ocean and noticeable all around. Delightful photograph!..
Thank you so much Dudhwa!
Beautiful bird with such vibrant webbed feet. Deborah, you find the best way to show a creature, simple and yet beautiful!
Thank you so much for such a lovely compliment and comment Robin!
You always find the right words to say!
Beautiful! I so wanted to see one last time I went to Vancouver. I’ve read that they are sometimes seen in the bay on the North Vancouver side. But no luck. Very happy to see yours! 🙂
Thank you so much Myriam! It was a first for me! I’ll have more seabird firsts in future posts.
I hope you get to see one someday!
Oh yay! A first! Looking forward to your other seabird firsts!!! 🙂
Great shot, Deborah.
Thank you so much John!
Nice shot, Deborah. Don’t suppose too many guillemots are sponsored by Nike 🙂
Of course I had to go back and look … and there it was, a Nike swoosh. Witty as always, Phil 😀
Oh thanks, Joanne 🙂 My search for spotting a guillemot sponsored by adidas continues 😉
He is very quick with the wit isn’t he! 🙂
A clear talent 🙂
LOL! No, I don’t think there are. You’re so witty and spotted that quickly!
Thank you for the giggle and comment Phil!
It’s just amazing to me to think that this small creature is comfortable on land, on the sea and in the air. Beautiful photo!
Thank you Dan! I had no idea before I went on this birding excursion there were sea pigeons! It is amazing!
Reminds me of the quote, “Don’t fire until you see the whites of their eyes.” Of course, I wouldn’t fire at this cutie, but the white part certainly applies. 🙂
🙂 It does. Thank you so much Janet!
