I spent the day with friends in Merced County birding in the wildlife refuges near there. It was a great day of birding, and I’ll be sharing the birds I photographed in the near future, but today I wanted to share the lovely sunset we had on the pond.

The scenery is beautifully captured with timing of clouds reflected perfectly as the light starts to fade. The lavender, fushia and pale cornflower blue appeals to my senses! 🙂

Well … sort of … big flakes, but it was wet, so it didn’t even reach the ground as snow. Much fog, so different from last year! Have you been looking at all for houses after the New Year?

We haven’t been with the holidays and getting back in the swing of things. We’re thinking about heading over in early Feb. if we can get over the mountains.

Wonderful, Deborah. Really quite stunning which can be seen by the way the trees lean back slightly in awe. Mainly at the majesty of the sunset admittedly but I think they also realised you were on hand to capture the moment and didn’t want to let you down. 🙂
