Giggles :-)! Great photo. I’ve only seen one Northern Pintail ever and it was a “fuzzy distance” away. I like their elegant necks and bills and tails.
Thank you so much Myriam! I love their long tails, and beautiful feathers. I hope you get to see more Northern Pintails a bit closer in the future!
Hopefully 🙂
What I find particularly amusing about this photo is that it appears they are walking on water 🙂
Someone else said the same thing. 🙂
Thank you for the comment Joanne I’m so glad you liked it.
So special to see this Deborah! Thanks for sharing with us
Thank you Lynn! I’m glad you enjoyed the image. 🙂 xx

Thank you Cheryl!
This was a fresh and fun photograph of these two pintails. It makes it look like the personality of each is showing through their wordless action, Deborah! 😉
Thank you Robin!
Love it Deborah!
Thank you so much Antonia!
Awesome, Deborah! I got a giggle out this one! 🙂
Oh good! 🙂 Thank you Donna!!
Ha ha ha. Wonderful.
🙂 Thank you John!
🙂
Apt title, Deborah, as it certainly looks as though the one on the right is trying to get the attention of the other bird. 🙂

Thank you Janet!
It is definitely wordless! I have no words to describe what the photo makes me feel when looking at it – mesmoried, may not e corrctly spelled but that’s the word I was looking fo = s
Thank you Becca! xx
Is the one on the right whispering some northern pintail gossip, possibly about their no good southern rivals. Lovely shot, Deborah 🙂
LOL! Probably! Thank you Phil! I think he’s telling her, “Don’t look now Mrs. Shoveler is coming!”. 🙂
the water is so magically beautiful!
Thank you Jodi!
Is the one on the right landing, or is the water shallow. It’s a great photo. It’ looks a bit magical.
Thank you Dan! He’s sitting in the water. This part of the pond was shallow.
He looks like he’s balanced on a small point. I love the photo!
Thank you Dan! I am wondering if Pintails make little mud mounds to stand on like a lot of ducks do? I know they like to perch on fallen logs in the marsh ponds as well as on the little islands in them.
