I went over the hill to Santa Cruz, CA. yesterday evening to photograph the rising Full Moon- the Buck Moon. I noticed this door getting out of the car. The light hit the glass just right.
It reminds me of an Abalone shell’s interior. The wood on this door looks so supple and soft doesn’t it. I want to touch that door to see if it’s really wood! 🙂

I can’t believe I didn’t comment on this door because it is the most unusual and beautiful door I’ve ever seen in my entire life. So glad you went off on an adventure to capture the moon because this is a truly amazing find. I have a lot of questions I’d love the find out about its origin, etc. Amazing. 🙂

That is a very special and beautiful door. I’m guessing it’s a one-of-a-kind creation, and I envy the person who was talented enough to make it. I love the gentle curves and the strategic use of glass. Great contribution to Thursday Doors, Deborah!

Imagine living behind a door that is a sculpture! I wonder if one of the people living in that house did it, or if he/she/they had it done. You’re right: it doesn’t look like wood, it looks like it’s alive. Alive and happy! Wow.

What an unusual door, it reminds me of a ear – although, so does a conch/abalone shell, lol.
