A little bit of this and that to share today. While developing images I discovered all the images I was selecting to work on had a theme; the color Yellow. Perhaps it’s because it has been quite nice, warm, and sunny here the last few days? I don’t know, but Yellow just feels good doesn’t it.
I took this image earlier in the year. Male Western Meadowlark

A Margarite Daisy blossom I think.

Toys in the Sandbox

Matilija Poppy

Protea from the Australian Garden in Santa Cruz, CA

I hope there’s some sunshine in your life today!

A good selection of construction trucks in the sandbox and all is right with the world! That really takes me back. And the poppy~oh, yes, I love this one too. We are having welcome rain, so i am enjoying your delightful splashes of yellow!

🙂 #1 Grandson loves all things construction, and digging in the sand, dirt, and mud!
My son loved playing with army men, and action figures in that sandbox, and in the areas of dirt we allowed him to play in. Years later when he was away at college I was digging around an area to reinvent it to a flower bed and found army men that he buried lost, and forgot about. I wonder if that will happen with #1GS’s toys too?
It’s clouding up here and is supposed to rain tomorrow. Just in time for the full moon sadly. 😦

Haha! I come across buried treasure from my son’s days in the dirt as well. Dinosaurs and aliens… 🙂 Here’s to rain, good rain, even if it obscures the moon.

🙂 Good times, and memories. It’s really raining good here today which is good. There will be other Moon lit nights. 🙂

I love the sand box shot! An innocent ensemble of work in progress… It catapulted me through time and brought a smile to my face.
Peace

Lovely series of sunshine! Giggled with the construction toys, looks like you took that shot in my grandson’s sandbox! 🙂

I’m so happy you can relate! I made that image in the sandbox we had built into our deck 26+ years ago. #1 Grandson is having a high time in now. When we had it built we installed plumbing so we could turn that square into a hot tub once the kids were gone. That’s not going to happen anytime soon. 🙂

Thank you so much Jill! They are striking with that brilliant yellow aren’t they. Though not nearly as cute as your Waffle-stomper Bird! I got such a kick out of that bird. I have worn hiking boots almost all my life and have called them waffle-stompers since I was 12!

Thank you so much Dan! They are wonderful with their sweet songs, and vivid yellow breast. It’s not often I actually get an opportunity to photograph them with so much of their color showing. This was a treat!
