This is a door from the 3rd tier of Fort Point in San Francisco, CA. I’ve blogged about the fort before here.
The arches in this fort are really neat. I had fun trying to find compositions, and shoot while the light was good. There were quite a few people here the day our Scott Kelby Photowalk group was here, so I had to wait sometimes for a long time to get an image without people in it.
Fortunately, no one else was interested in this door when I started photographing it.
This image is also part of Norm 2.0’s Thursday’s Doors. To see all the other doors posted this week click here.

Lovely shot – I imagine the door is not original to the structure but at least it’s blue!
Thanks Jan. I never even thought about the door being original or not! 🙂
I like the color.

Me too! Thanks for commenting Janet!
A wonderful composition. Just the right light, and all the elements lead the eye to the main subject. And yes, I love the color of the door too. Very nice Deborah 🙂
Thank you Norm!
I love the shapes in this picture. Really nicely balanced.
Nice composition! Worth the wait 🙂
I really like this a door to what? Love it
Thank you so much Lynn! I can’t remember exactly what this door led to, but I think it was living quarters.
I like to just imagine hahaha
Me too! 🙂
Great doors Deborah. I’ve been to Fort Point (I think) but I’m a sucker for a blue door.
Thank you Dan! Me too. Since deciding to join in on the ThursdayDoors challenge and do it for my 2016 Project 52 I’ve been looking at every door, and think a series of each color door is in order. It is addicting!!
I Like Red doors, black doors and blue doors. Each time I see a blue one, I think it’s my favorite color, but I keep going back to red.
This is neat. I like the textures of the stone floor and the brick set against the lovely blue door.
Thank you Melissa! I like the textures, and patterns as well.
