Theme week 3 in Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness 2 is Angel(s).
For this week I selected an Angel ornament I received as a Christmas gift from my Mother. She’s a Hallmark ornament issued in the year 2000.
She’s called Graceful Glory.

“Full of grace and glory,
wonderfully strong,
angels bless our hearts
with Heaven’s gentle song. ”

I got up at 3 am again to drive up to the Marin Headlands to view the sunrise. I hoped there would be some fog rolling in. It was cloudy at home which was south of my destination.
While driving north the sky was getting clearer, and clearer. No clouds, and no fog, but there were stars! I took this image while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. Venus is the brightest planet (low in the sky), and the constellation Corvus is the quadrilateral shape above and to the right of Golden Gate Bridge’s north tower.

8 of us got up at O’Dark Thirty to meet at Battery Spencer in the Marin Headlands to shoot the sunrise. Since it was clear, and cold without much chance of fog we opted to hike the mile down to Kirby Cove to be at the water’s edge to photograph the sunrise. Here’s an image I made just after arriving down at Kirby Cove. The tide was a little higher than I expected. A couple of waves got my feet wet a couple of times. Thankfully I wear waterproof boots.
Venus is the only thing bright enough to shine above the on coming dawn, and the cities lights.

After making several images down at the waters edge I decided to move up to the cliff just above me to capture the sun as it crested the skyline.

The clouds were just beginning to roll in from the north as the sun crested the skyline. Once the sun got above the city we decided to head up the mountain to have some breakfast with lots of hot coffee to warm up with.

I photographed several of my Santa Ornaments for week 36 December Santa or Elves Challenge for MM2 hosted by Leanne Cole. I didn’t share them all in the post for that challenge so I thought I’d post another image for my Project 52 this week.
I have quite a few Santa ornaments for my Christmas Tree. I just love Santa and the season! I hope you all are enjoying the Season too!

I met some photographers last night in the City (San Francisco) to photograph the Christmas Lights in Embarcadero Center. The Star of the show is the white light on the TransAmerica Pyramid Building and it’s blue reflection for me.

Traffic was absolutely horrible getting into the city yesterday. What should have taken just under an hour took 2 hours! It was worth the drive though. It wasn’t too cold, and the lights are gorgeous.
On another note. I have not been successful with Adobe reactivating or fixing my CS6 photo editing software so, I bit the bullet today and subscribed to the CC Photography package. I have Bridge CC, Lightroom 2015 CC, and Photoshop CC 2015 all installed, and working. Now I’m trying to figure out how to get my plug-ins, presets, and actions installed into PSCC, and LRCC. I’ve got two actions installed. There’s hope I’ll figure it all out! 🙂
