I did find a beautiful stone church while in Port Clinton, OH. Immaculate Conception. The doors are lovely.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find any information about the building online so, my photos are all I have to share this week.

Here’s a closer look at the doors.

            1. I am mostly interested in seeing the United Kingdom, it would be in a way like going home since my family history is Irish. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

  1. The doors are great, but I find the image of the whole church beautiful too, Deborah. The descending of the crosses from top left to bottem right makes the building graphically interesting, a simple but powerful shape. The light stone walls and grey roofs completes that atmosphere. The way you framed the picture is perfect.

  2. What a lovely church. It’s been there since at least the late 1800s, since this c.1900 photo shows the building in essentially its current form. It is interesting to see the changes that have been made to the entranceway and doors; they’ve been updated, but still have the basic arrangement from more than a century ago.

    1. I didn’t come across that image. Thank you!!! There’s a school connected to the church right next door…it all could have started with that little building to the right in the photo. I did find something about records from the late 1800’s to 2000. So it’s old, but a beauty.
