Last week He-Man wanted to break in his new car with a little road trip to the seaside. Santa Barbara, CA. was where he wanted to go. We did some kayaking, birding and a lot of walking. One of the places we birded was Santa Barbara Botanical Garden. The trails are great and while we in the Backcountry section of the garden we came across a Little Library. It’s an Eagle named Nest where you’re invited to enjoy reading while in his nest. I loved it!

This is the coolest Little Library I’ve ever seen.

  1. That is neat Deborah! Reading into the warm enclosure of the eagles wings. Since some years we have these little libraries in my country too, like all over the place, always a local or even a personal initiative. They are aptly called: tiny library. 🙂 The idea is that if you take/lend a book you put another book back in. But eagle shaped I haven’t seen them before!

  2. I’ve come across a few of these little libraries, but nothing like this. It’s not only creative, it’s quite inviting. It would be much easier to spend some time there sorting through the offerings to see one that appealed.
