Here are just a few images of some wildflowers I saw while birding last week.

Arrowleaf Balsamroot
Groundsel
Yellow Salsify

Yellow seems to be the wildflowers blooming the most around here right now.

Here’s a Yellow-Rump Warbler I saw while on the same walk that fits the Yellow theme. 😊

    1. Isn’t the Salsify pretty. I love it in Pink. Thank you so much, Dan, while out birding yesterday I took as many wildflower images as I did bird photos! Everything is blooming right now. I thought more than once I needed two camera one for birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and one for flowers.

Next week I hope to do that. I saw a Mountain Peony for the first time just opening. Tuesday it might be gorgeous.

        1. No, I don’t bother changing lenses. I can get a decent close up if I crop in post. My lens has a 10ft minimum focusing distance. I used to carry two cameras all the time, but it gets really heavy fast. I wish my cell phone camera was better at close ups and macro.

I’ll take my Nikon Df with my 50mm or lens baby next week when I go back. That’ll be a fairly light rig, still heavy with my D850 and 500mm too, but better than my cell phone camera.
