While in CO. Fall was at peak or past it in the higher elevations and beginning in the lower ones so, after the wedding we began our vacation. First up we headed to Kenosha Pass to see the fall colors.

Fast forward…we came home to a cold snap. It was pretty chilly and windy all week-end; it rained a bit in the valley and snowed in the mountains, but on Monday things really got chilly and it rained, hailed and snowed a little, and yesterday I woke up to 23 degrees (-5c) and the clouds had lifted a bit on the mountains so I could see the snow on them.

Lucky me, a flock of Canadian Geese flew by and I got the tail-end of them in this frame. They’re heading Northeast somewhere.

I’m trying a new theme for the blog to see if my images look better than in the previous theme. I think it’s better. What do you think?

Absolutely Stunning! 😀
It was so pretty there. They timed their wedding perfectly. If He-Man were to want to marry me again I’d pick a fall wedding for that one. Our first was early spring and snowy! 😀
Hi Deborah. I’m so glad you enjoyed your vacation — and that you shared the photos with us. How gorgeous! The colors were breathtaking, but the one with the geese is awe-inspiring.
I liked your old theme just fine, but this one is good too. I get so captivated by your images, it’s hard to remember if I liked the old one more or less than this one. LOL. That’s truth, but it’s also meant as a compliment. Hugs on the wing.
Thank you so much, Teagan! I’m glad you liked that last image. We’ve been having some lovely sunrises lately. 😀
Looks like you hit it just right … beauties! ‘Peak’ is kind of elusive. It can look perfect on one side of the road and pre or post peak on the other. It all went by way too fast for me … especially with some other obligations.
Thank you so much, Denise! It was a lovely time to be there. I wish there were more pullouts on the main road in Rocky Mt. NP there was a spot with gorgeous colors and no where to pull out!
It went by fast here too. The early cold snap and snow zapped the color and vibrancy from a lot of our Aspens and Cottonwoods. Thankfully, there are pockets of colors though.
Breathtaking, Deborah! Really! Do you get any red leaves in the fall?
Brrr that’s cold! Beautiful photos. I really like the Canada Geese on the fly 😊
A beautiful time of year for you Deborah, love the contrast of the golden leaves against the blue sky. Wow that’s cold ! our 23°C is a nice room temp though we are experiencing week of cold wet windy Spring weather which is unusual after several very warm days. I also loved the reflections on the lake photo, an idyllic place to be.
Oh yes, your images are gorgeous. -5 is no fun though!! 😮 Keep warm!
It’s warming up and hitting the 70’s. 😄 Thank you so much, Manja.
Hi Deb! We were just in Colorado too! The colors were amazing. Beautiful pictures! Jarlath
Dang!! How’d we miss you?😂 It was pretty. Fall colors are getting pretty here at home now too.
Love the golds, but the last photo is absolutely beautiful. When I opened this post, I thought you had a new theme. The photos look really good, but I think your photos always look good. These are very crisp. Nice.
Thank you so much, Judy! I really got lucky with the geese flyby.
I love Colorado and your photos look great. Thanks, Deborah.
Thank you, John!! We liked it too. It was my first time in CO. I want to explore more of it.
Telluride is fabulous. We were there in June and it’s lovely.
I have heard that. Our friends that we went to see get married went there for their Honeymoon. They called us Monday and said it’s beautiful.
It is. We went horse back riding at 10,000 feet. What a trip.
Gorgeous colours. The images look good here.
Thanks Pit! I am glad it looks good on your end.
Beautiful! I’m reading on an iPad and your images are gorgeous. Love the colors!
Thank you so much, Janis!! I’m glad they good on your device. 😄
Beautiful!
Deb
Thank you, Deb!!
These landscapes look good, the test will be when you use an image which needs a lot of detail like your bird shots.
Bit nippy in your part of the world already!
Thank you so much, Brian!! I had the same thought about birds. I’m hoping they look better on this theme.
It’s warming up to the 70’s now but, it was cold!
My heart is happy, Deborah. Thanks for the morning happiness injection. It was 45 when I went out to walk before dawn and although the days are going to be in the 80’s for the high most of the next week or so, the lows are going to be in the 50’s or lower, which is right up my alley! 🙂
🥰 Thank you, Janet! I’m glad it’s cooling off there.
Me too!!
Whatever theme you use, I find your pictures always beautiful, Deborah. The top picture with the golden trees and the geese picture are stunning.
Thank you so much, Peter!!
These are gorgeous, Deborah, the geese in flight is stunning, how beautiful!! All photos look great in your theme too.
Thank you so much, Donna. I got lucky with the geese.😄
The pictures look very good, Deborah. I like the fall colors, especially the ones reflected in the lake. The photo of the geese is amazing. I really like that
Thank you so much, Dan!! It was great being there for the fall colors.
