I like how you included more of the night sky and some stars. It gives you a better picture of what it looked like rather than boxing the moon in like many detail photos I see.
Thank you so much, Denise! I’m glad you like the stars. I worried that some might see them as dirt spots or something other than stars. 😀
Stunning capture, Deborah!
Thank you so much, Amy! 🙏🏻😀
Wow, beautiful, Deborah! Was it (it looks like) a blood moon?Where I live now, I can’t see the moon rising, only very late when it’s above us. Great you took the opportunity! Jesh
Thank you, Jesh! Yes, it was Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse. They never get old. 😀
I too have to wait for the moon to crest the mountains about 35-40minutes after it rises.
You nailed it, Deborah. Wow!!
Thank you so much, Jennie! 🥰
You’re welcome, Deborah.
Woo-hoo! What a fantastic photo, Deborah. You are a stellar nighttime photographer.
Oh, thank you so much, Jet! You’re too kind! I wish I was much better…more practice is needed. 😀
Oooooo!
😀 Thank you so much, Marian!
I was wow’ed when I saw this photo on IG, and I’m wow’ed again seeing it here. I didn’t get to see this Full Moon, but this photo makes up for it!
Thank you so much, Joanne! 😍
Top notch portrait of the moon. The gear used is a very capable set of Nikon, a favourite, but that alone wouldn’t lead to a beauty necessarily.
Thank you so much, umashankar! My Nikon gear is getting old! 😀
Wow Deborah, you got a much better look at the moon than we did, excellent photo 🙂
Thank you so much, Ashley!
That is one truly amazing shot. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you so much, Judy!
I was hoping you would capture it, Deborah. It was cloudy here.
Thank you so much, John! Hopefully we’ll all clear skies in November for the partial Lunar eclipse.
Let’s hope so. Thanks.
Same here, unfortunately. 😦
Grateful that we have Deborah.
😭
I didn’t even know about this but as the skies were completely cloudy (and even provided a bit of rain) last night here in Illinois, I guess it didn’t matter. Thanks for sharing this glorious shot of it so I didn’t feel as though I missed something. 🙂 ❤
Thank you so much, Janet! I’m not positive but where you are now you would have only seen a partial eclipse if you were able to see it with a clear sky.
There’s a partial Lunar Eclipse on my son’s birthday in November I’m hoping we can see. I’ll figure that out as we get closer to the date.
I’m in the Chicago area.
Yes, it would have been a partial lunar eclipse in that area. Statistically, since the year 2000, the 26th of May has been cloudy 72% of the time in that area. 😮
I forgot about the eclipse. It’s a delight to see it photographed so beautifully here, Deborah. Hugs on the wing!
Thank you so much, Teagan! I’m glad you liked the image. Hugs back to you! 🥰
You caught it beautifully!
Thank you so much, Belinda! 😀
Super!
Thank you, Janis!!
Oh I missed it. I guess I thought it was tonight. What a beautiful shot, Deborah.
Thank you so much, Cheryl!! That’s so easy to do when it happens in the middle of the night. I double checked my times then triple checked just to be sure I had it right. 😀
How neat Deborah! Beautiful. I want a lamp like that. 🙂
LOL! Thank you so much, Peter!
That’s a beautiful image.
Thank you so much, Dan!
Oh, wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
Deb
Thank you for looking and for the lovely comment, Deb! 😀
Well, cool beans. Or maybe cool moonbeams? 😉
LOL! I like that, Ally! Thank you very much!! 😀
Wowza, Deborah! Beautifully captured!! ❤️
Oh, thank you so much, Donna! 😍
Super shot!
Thank you so much, Brian!
We could say that totality eclipsed the eclipse.
haha! We can! 😀
