    1. Thank you so much, Amy! It’s windy, cold, and there are dense clouds low on the mountains to the east so I’m not sure if I’ll see it or not. I’ll probably not go anywhere but my back patio to shoot it if I can see it.

How about you any plans to photograph it?

      1. Unfortunately, I don’t have plans to photograph it. I don’t have a good view from home and didn’t plan to seek out any good viewing spots.

  1. I have heard the phrase “worm moon” this week, yet I did not investigate further, Deborah. Difficult to capture photos of the moon. Your two photos are amazing! 🙂

  2. Wow, what a fantastic pair of moon pics. No wonder my cell-phone shots of it look like white blobs — you have better equipment, sure, but clearly a better eye and sense of framing. Well done!

    1. Thank you so much, Paul! Mine is a white blob too in the top image.
I haven’t had any success with my cell phone and the Moon, but the cameras in cell phones are getting so much better it won’t be long before they are doing a good job with that type of photography too!

      1. True! When cell-phone snaps come up in my Facebook memories, it’s remarkable how grainy the ones from 10 years ago look. Definitely gotten better since then!

  3. Beautiful skies with that moon! Wonder if Spring is different for you now, than in California? Jesh

    1. Yes, it is. It’s getting green here and stays green all summer, and soon it will be brown and gold in the Bay Area hills and fields. I imagine it’s quite different for you in TX now too?

      Thank you so much, Jesh!

      1. The biggest change in Texas is the sky. Since winter it is on most days cloudy.. A wind is blowing 90% of the time.Am jazzed that the grass is getting green (because with a cloudy sky and everything brownish, it feels still winter). The temps are going up and down much more than California (which is a surprise.

  4. Love how you captured the moon peaking out over the mountains. It always looks so much larger when it first rises. Both photos are lovely! ❤️
