Whatever Weds. Fall Color

I made this image a couple of week-ends back.

Fall along the Walker River

Fall color is quickly turning brown and more and more trees are bare.

I hope you’re all having an excellent week!

  1. I forgot about mining claims as a source of income, until reading your post, Deborah. We ran into this in a small way when we lived in the Yukon. A great deal of history and research in this post. Interesting and beautiful photos! Especially with all of the Fall colours. 🙂

  2. This is a gorgeous scene, Deborah!! We just hit peak color and the storm that just came through took quite a few leaves from the trees!

    1. Thank you so much, Jill! I’ve never made a calendar with my images. I wonder how much work in prepping the images there is?

Have you done one with your weird birds? Or other art? That would be a neat calendar.

      1. Hi Deborah, I don’t know much about it. I was thinking of learning how to do it with my square project. 😊 I will let you know what I discover! 😉 Your photos are really wonderful!! 💗

    1. Thank you so much, Erica! I’m thrilled that this images catches your eye and takes it down river through the whole scene!

I hope I can find this place again! I really want to photograph it with snow. Well, I have an image in my head of how I want it to look. 😀 I just have to find it again. The lone tree really captured my eye.

    1. Isn’t that tree perfect? That’s what grabbed my attention. I want to photograph this tree in the winter with snow. I have an idea and picture in my head. I hope I can find this place again to find out.

      Thank you so much, Dan!

    1. Thank you so much, Joanne! I wish we had more oranges and red like you have, but those browns, and golds are pretty.

#1 Grandson caught some bug and has been sick for two days. I’m hoping this morning he’s back to normal so he can go back to school and go trick or treating tonight. So far our littlest hasn’t caught it. Finger crossed the rest of the family doesn’t get it. I’m hoping to see them this week-end.🤞🏻

  3. Oh, another breathtaking shot, Deborah! This is my first autumn in southern NM. I’m not sure what to expect for colors. (Before DC I lived in Albuquerque for 5 years. Yellow was the only fall color I saw there — the cottonwood trees.) With my issues, I don’t get out much or far, but our trees don’t seem to be changing yet. Happy Halloween hugs!

    1. Thank you so much, Teagan! The Cottonwoods here turned late and some the leaves just fell off. I hope you’re able to get out a bit and enjoy the fall colors and season when it happens there in NM even it’s just while running errands.

Happy Halloween too you too! Hugs. xx
