One-Liner Weds. Kids say the Darndest Things

Last Saturday He-Man and I went to visit Baby Girl and the boys since it had been 3 weeks or so since we’d seen them and we missed the boys a lot!

#1 Grandson got out his mom’s guitar and was strumming and humming when suddenly he stopped playing and said, ” Grandma, for $5 dollars I’ll play you any song you want.”

Grandma for 5 Dollars I'll sing and play any song you want

I don’t know how it happened, but we all got songs for free!

Mine was short and sweet. It went like this, ” Grandma I love you the most, and you’re still number 1.”   It made my heart sing!

  1. How wonderful and what a cutie! I sub at the elementary school and often come home with a cute story or two. Yesterday however, I received 3 apology letters from 2nd graders for their bad behavior!

    1. Oh, I don’t know if it’s vintage. It’s only 15-16 years old and I bought it for Baby Girl off the rack at the music store. I didn’t think she’d really stick to it so didn’t spend too much on it or buy her a big brand name one.
She played the flute for 7 years then wanted to try something else so, I let her. 😁 She didn’t stick with it. Until #1 started plucking and strumming it it sat in its case not touched for years and years. Maybe he’ll learn to play it and stick with it?

A penny for your thoughts...
