Whatever Weds. Our Littlest

I’m home!  Baby Girl had our Littlest Monday morning. You already know this if you follow me on Instagram. I hope I don’t bore with the same news.  For those that don’t know he was 6 pounds, 3 ounces, and 19.5 inches long. Born at 37 weeks one day. He’s so tiny, and perfect!

Both were doing so well they were able to go home yesterday afternoon.  After 3 weeks in the hospital on Bed Rest, Baby Girl is very happy to be home!

I spent a little bit of time this afternoon taking newborn photos of him before He-Man and I headed home. Here he is our wee one just 2 days and 7 hours old. He’s so tired. He isn’t up long. Landon David

We’re so grateful for your thoughts, and prayers for her and us during that time. I am positive they helped.  With your thoughts, prayers, the Nurses who liked and cared for her so well, and her high-risk specialist that put it all on the line to see Baby Girl had what she needed to stay on Bed Rest to see this pregnancy to a positive end we wouldn’t be here today!  Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and souls from all of us! xx

I need to get my own house in order, but I’ll be catching up with you all soon!

  1. Love this photo!! So happy for you and your family, Deborah!! I imagine you are enjoying these special moments with your daughter and this wee little grandchild! 👶💕

  2. Congratulations, Deborah, on the precious gift of your little grandson and the health of your daughter! The true meaning of gratitude! I am always in awe of the miracle of life and the perfection of a newborn baby. This is a beautiful photo of him and I look forward to seeing many more.

  3. Oh my goodness!! So much preciousness! I love the newborn photos that you’ve taken of him. Amazing work Deborah. I’m so happy that both he and Baby Girl are healthy. ❤

    1. Thank you so much Amy!

Unfortunately, Baby Girl got sick and called me to come back. She’s on the mend and feeling much better so I’m home again.
I hope she and Handsome Surveyor are getting it all out early so the rest of the year goes wonderfully well. He had a Kidney stone and passed that on Friday!

  4. Deborah, I’m so happy to see this post from you. Congratulations! Three weeks… I don’t know how she could stand it — okay, so I do, considering the reason… But it would have driven me beyond nuts.
You say you aren’t a portrait photographer… I’d rethink that, my friend. The ones you’ve shared here are gorgeous. This one is staged in an adorable way — just enough cuteness.
    Hugs on the wing!

  5. What a wonderful image! You say you aren’t a portrait photographer, but I think you are definitely excelling!! Or maybe it’s just the inspiration you have from your own loved ones 💕
Newborns are just the best! I’m so glad for you. Your sense of relief and overflowing happiness can be read into every word! ❤️
Follow your instinct and take LOTS of photos!!!

    1. I thought being a Mother was the best thing ever…then I grew up. My children grew up, and one had babies making me a Grandma. OMG! Being a Grandma is the BEST THING EVAH!! It’s so much better than being a “parent”! This is Golden. All the fun, spoiling them, and no consequences! Just send them home to their parents for the discipline! OH YEAH! This is it, the peak of parenting! Grand parenting!

Plus I’m ever so much more relaxed about the whole thing I see what a difference that makes all in its own self! I wasn’t this relaxed as a parent ever!

    1. Thank you so much Gordon! I’m only using code names online. I’ll tell you his real name when I see you…which I hope is soon! Birding is great right now. Let’s do some!

Thank you so much for the compliment on the newborn image. It’s really not my forté. I’m not a people photographer by a long shot, but for my family I’ll try and try hard!

He’s so tiny he doesn’t really fill out this little jumper and it’s so very tiny! Perhaps in 3 weeks he will fill it out? I will photograph him again if Baby Girl is up to it, but I want newborn! It’s a short window.

I also want sitter, and 1 year old images and all those in between images.
I’m greedy. I won’t apologize for that not now or ever!

      1. You have a model that can’t complain for a year or two so you should get some great shots. The lighting setup looks good so this baby will have a nice portfolio in his future.
I haven’t done any shooting since returning home at the beginning of the month so I do need to get out to shoot some scenery and wildlife; let me know when you want to go.

    1. Thank you so much Pauline! I hope so! I’m not a newborn photographer or portrait photographer at all, but for them I’ll happily dabble. If a frame is in their eyes printable I’ll be a very happy Grandma!

I found this Elfin outfit and prop months before he was born, but knew he’d be a boy. I love it! He’s so tiny even this teenie overall is too big for him! In a few weeks I may redo this session maybe not in this outfit. I won’t need much excuse to to photograph him. Anything Baby Girl has to put him in will be fine with me! 😁

    1. Thank you so much Camie! I’m sure he’s Strippling Warrior and he too will fill our family with joy, laughter, courage, and strength in the times ahead.

I’m so glad you like the photo. I bought the outfit and props months ago after finding out Baby Girl was having a boy. It turned out really well for which we’re happy about!
