Wild Weds. 51/52 Elvis is in the HOUSE!

I went back to my archives to find a Christmasy image to share this week because even though I’ve been taking photos this month none are really Christmasy- back in 2010 on my way out of town for a photo shoot a friend and I stopped downtown to catch a little bit of the Christmas Parade and who should strut by? Elvis!

I can’t remember which Christmas song he was singing. I wish I had made some notes.

So, I went to YouTube to see if anyone had posted the parade and caught him crooning this number…well someone did post about him at the Parade!  Turns out he’s Rick Torres a popular Elvis impersonator here in the Bay Area and he won the 2010 Holiday Day Parade trophy that year! Man, I love YouTube!

Since Elvis wasn’t singing in that clip so here’s some Top Christmas Songs sung by Elvis to help us keep the spirit of the season Merry and Bright.

From my house to yours, Wishing all of you that celebrate it a Rockin Merry Christmas!

  1. Your post of Elvis reminded me of a good friend of mine who passed away in August this year. She adored Elvis. Her husband played several Elvis songs at her funeral. I think “Blue Christmas” is my favorite of his Christmas songs… how about you, do you have a favorite, Deborah? 🎅💕🎶

      1. You are welcome! I forgot to mention that I am also just trying to figure out what to wear. We had temperatures in the high eighties for a lot of the Fall. Yikes! Summer right to winter!

  2. That definitely adds some pop to the holidays!! Thanks for sharing Deborah. I hope that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!! xx

      1. The truly hard part is still to come — physically getting there. I haven’t quite figured that out. But I’ve signed and notarized all the papers. Now if UPS can get them across the country in this weather! For the moment I still have to call it my “Vacation” home, but I hope to live there before much longer. Thanks for all your support, encouragement, and good wishes, Deborah. Hugs on reindeer hooves!

    1. Gordon, I love this Hawaiian saying!! I have two photographer friends in Hawaii that say this to me every year and back at them.

I have goosebumps now that you have wished me a Merry Christmas in Hawaiian too! THANK YOU!
And now the song is in my head!

  3. Great holiday photo, Deborah! And that’s so cool that your research on the singer was fruitful. Thanks for the tunes. I was actually thinking about Elvis Christmas songs while listening to Bing Crosby at a coffee shop when I saw your post. So timely! Have a wonderful holiday! 🙂 ❤
