Psst! (Deborah whispers): over here. come closer. Closer. CLOSER! I have a secret. It’s supposed to be wordless today, but I feel the need to talk a bit. Would you mind terribly if I added words? Phew! I’m so glad you don’t mind! I just knew you were kindred spirits and would understand!
I would like to share one of my life’s mottoes with you, okay? This is the one that keeps me humble. Are you sure you don’t mind? Oh, thank you! I hope sharing it resonates with you. Okay, Here it is…
“There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.”

Count your Blessings! Reflect on the good things in your life, and move forward …ever forward with hope and faith. Believing always that it will all work out for the best. Until next week be well, be safe, and have a wonderful, and blessed Thanksgiving!

It is good to appreciate the things/Blessings you have, and not so the things/Blessings you wish to have. Hope you are having the best holiday ever. 🙂
Thank you so much, John!
I’m with you Deborah — always something to be grateful about. Thanks for this post, good wishes and delicious looking pie. yum. Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you, Jet! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
I’ll say what I did back in 2017. Happy Thanksgiving. Oh, and one more thought. A beautiful post and a great shot of that pie.
Thank you so much, John! 🦃 Happy Thanksgiving to you, the Producers and the girls.
Thanks, Deborah.

This was first posted in 2017, but the feelings haven’t changed.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!
Totally agree Deborah! And love the pie too of course! 🙂
Thank you so much Lili!
Lost count of my blessings, because there are too many! And on Thanksgiving day there was an extra surprise, because my oldest daughter had also a chocolate silk pie from Claim Jumper – an old dessert fave.
Are you going a different direction with your blog? Wednesday is my (almost) off day… thank you much for coming by every week!! Greatly appreciated:) Also love the birds below – great capture!
Thank you Jesh! Why do you think my blog is going another direction?
Chocolate Silk Pie sounds yummy! I’m so glad you had a lovely Thanksgiving. Hope you’re weathering the storm well up there!
This is wonderful Deborah❤️❤️
🙂 Thank you so much Lynn! xx

So true Deborah!! There is always something to be thankful for! I hope that you had a lovely Thanksgiving. 🙂
Thanks Amy! It was lovely and all too short Holiday. Big Baby Boy left us last night for his So CAL home, and now that Baby Girl and #1 Grandson have moved out and they too went to their home last night our house is so quiet, and He-Man and I are wishing they were able to stay longer.
Thankfully Christmas isn’t far away and we’ll be together for that!
I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving, and week-end! xx
So true! There is indeed always something to be thankful for. Like pumpkin pie! 😀 Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
🙂
Excellent motto (and pie!) Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Joey! xx

😀
Really nice!
Thank you so much Jennie!
You’re welcome!
If that piece of pumpkin pie was here to go with my afternoon coffee, I’d be very thankful. 🙂 Hope you and yours have a lovely Thursday.
I’d happily share it with you too!
I hope you and yours have a lovely Thursday too!
So true, Deborah … there is always something to be thankful for, and occasionally we need to be reminded of it.
btw – I would be VERY thankful if I had a slice of that pie right now 😏
🙂 I wish I could share it with you!
Have a lovely rest of the week! xx
You could probably use the calories better than me 😉
NO I CAN’T! I’ve gained weight since being full time Grandma and hiking less. 😦 I won’t be eating the crust to save some calories.
I know how you feel. Since I retired, I’ve gained so. much. weight … in spite of all the hiking and cycling. It’s like all the “free agent” fat molecules circulating the earth have been attracted to me 😖
…and me. 😦 Aside from wine I’m going to be stingy with myself on breads, and sweets over the Holidays to try and at least maintain and not gain anymore.
There’s always a catch 😉
always! 😦
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you Belinda! I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving or day too! xx
I fully agree with the motto Deborah. But hey, with a piece of pie like that…. 🙂
🙂 Thanks Peter!
Deborah, this is so true. I’ll be mentioning something similar for my Thanksgiving post tomorrow. Have a wonderful day and thanks for being one of my “things” to be thankful for.
