Psst! (Deborah whispers):  over here. come closer. Closer. CLOSER!  I have a secret. It’s supposed to be wordless today, but I feel the need to talk a bit.  Would you mind terribly if I added words? Phew! I’m so glad you don’t mind! I just knew you were kindred spirits and would understand!

I would like to share one of my life’s mottoes with you, okay?  This is the one that keeps me humble.  Are you sure you don’t mind?  Oh, thank you!  I hope sharing it resonates with you. Okay, Here it is…

“There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.”

Count your Blessings! Reflect on the good things in your life, and move forward …ever forward with hope and faith. Believing always that it will all work out for the best.  Until next week be well, be safe, and have a wonderful, and blessed Thanksgiving!

  1. It is good to appreciate the things/Blessings you have, and not so the things/Blessings you wish to have. Hope you are having the best holiday ever. 🙂

  2. Lost count of my blessings, because there are too many! And on Thanksgiving day there was an extra surprise, because my oldest daughter had also a chocolate silk pie from Claim Jumper – an old dessert fave.
Are you going a different direction with your blog? Wednesday is my (almost) off day… thank you much for coming by every week!! Greatly appreciated:) Also love the birds below – great capture!

    1. Thanks Amy! It was lovely and all too short Holiday. Big Baby Boy left us last night for his So CAL home, and now that Baby Girl and #1 Grandson have moved out and they too went to their home last night our house is so quiet, and He-Man and I are wishing they were able to stay longer.

Thankfully Christmas isn’t far away and we’ll be together for that!

I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving, and week-end! xx

  3. So true, Deborah … there is always something to be thankful for, and occasionally we need to be reminded of it.

btw – I would be VERY thankful if I had a slice of that pie right now 😏

          1. I know how you feel. Since I retired, I’ve gained so. much. weight … in spite of all the hiking and cycling. It’s like all the “free agent” fat molecules circulating the earth have been attracted to me 😖

  4. Deborah, this is so true. I’ll be mentioning something similar for my Thanksgiving post tomorrow. Have a wonderful day and thanks for being one of my “things” to be thankful for.

  5. Beautiful photo and a wonderful motto to live by. Thanks for breaking the rules (you had to know I wouldn’t mind). Happy Thanksgiving Deborah. I hope you guys have a great day.
