Wordless Wednesday, what can I say? I was there 🙂
🙂
This is a stunning example of light and shadows, where details are outlined with a soft, pale gray tone. The flowers make a pretty yellow and white, “springy” background, Deborah. I loved this so much, including the title. xo
I love, love, love this flower! I wish I had room in my yard to grow them. They get HUGE as you see. The blossom themselves can get as big as a teacup saucer!
The light was pretty close to perfect right then for this shot. Thank you so much for your comment Robin! I love reading your thoughts and insights. xx
Is that statue as big as it looks? It is rather unusual … and it looks like there is more than one!
There is more than one. There are two rows of these lining the walkway up to the entrance of the museum. They are pretty big.
Wow – statues flanking the walkway! I’m guessing that looked really impressive.
Interesting statue and I like that you included the flowers in the foreground..
Thank you so much Denise! The Matilija Poppies are my all time favorite poppy flower and when I saw them in front of one row of Rams leading to the Museum I had my frame /composition in my head pretty quick. 🙂
I’m glad you like it.
Can almost feel the texture. Good job, Deborah
Great picture. I love the statuary and have some myself in my garden.
Thank you so much! What a neat statue to have in your garden!
I like that photo, Deborah. Good job getting the lighting right. I say that because this is the kind of scene that I normally mess up. You have great light on the statues and great contrast and color in the vegetation.
Thank you so much Dan! It was about 11 am with the sun southeast then. I was fortunate that I could keep the sun over my right shoulder to get even lighting.
Being married to a tech guy gives a very different meaning to my comment of “That’s a lot of ram.” 🙂 Happy Wednesday, Deborah. It’s going to be a hot and humid one here in Chicagoland. Hope yours is lovely.

LOL! My tech guy would get a laugh out of your comment, and me too! Very witty and quick! 🙂
Thank you Janet it’s supposed to be warming up…finally! Maybe I can shead wool socks for open toed shoes, long sleeves for T-shirts, and put away the space heaters for the season at last?
I hope you get to enjoy the coolest parts of the day. Happy Wednesday to you too! XX
I’d be happy to send you about 10 degrees. We’d both be happy.
🙂 I’d take it!
