I spent Independence Day on the island of Lana’i and it was fun. The neighbors invited us over for a cookout with hamburgers, grilled meats, vegetarian shish kabobs, and of course desserts. The town had their fireworks show on the 2nd, coinciding with their “Pineapple Festival” (sadly, no pineapples are grown there anymore).
Hope you and your family had a fun day. What a perfect photo for the occasion!

Your Holiday sounds like it was great fun, and the menu sounds delicious. Of course being on Lana’i sounds like paradise!
It’s sad there aren’t pineapple plantations on the Islands anymore.
We had a lovely long week-end and even saw a few fireworks. I don’t imagine the show where you were was very crowded. All the places to view them here get so terribly crowded that I rarely go view them anymore.
