MM2 38/52 Christmas Where You Are

Theme week 4 for the month of December is Christmas Where You Are. For my entry I’ve shared our tree, and some of our Christmas decorations.  I really love the tree this year.  Even sans the topping star. I couldn’t find it for weeks! I found it 2 weeks ago, but am afraid I’ll topple the tree if I attempt to put it on, so we’re topless this year.

#1 Grandson (he turned 3 last Saturday!) really loves the tree with its ornaments, lights and Bears.  A tradition that #1 Grandson is going to start understanding this year; when he wakes up tomorrow The Bears will be gone! They’ll leave a note on the tree that says they’ve gone to help Santa with the last BIG push to get things done in time for his trip Christmas Eve, but don’t worry! They’ll be back Christmas morning. 🙂

I think he’s brought the magic, awe, and joy back to the house this Christmas, and it’s infectious. YEAH!

From my house to yours may your hearts be filled with everything joyous, and wonderful this season brings.  Merry Christmas!

    1. Thank you so much Cybele! I did have a lovely Christmas. I chose to develop that image in B&W because it reminded me so much of a Christmas morning I had as a girl, and my Dad photographed the tree and gifts before we got up; his image inspired this one many years later! Not saying how many though! GAH!!! 🙂

I hope your Christmas was happy, and wonderful, and you are feeling better, and have more energy.

      1. that is a beautiful memory and story- and adds so much meaning to the image. Thank you for sharing that!! Yes – it was quiet for me and I’m struggling a bit but am ok!! I need some better weather! 🙂

        1. Head south!! 🙂 I have a couple of friends who live in Canada that are “snowbirds” in the winter. Arizona, Florida, and Southern California are the places they head for. I’m keeping you in my thoughts and sending healing vibes your way! xx

  1. That is a nice sized and well decorated tree, since we are away from home this year our tree is about 6″ high. Hope your Christmas is a Merry and Happy one.

    1. Thank you Myriam! I put the ornaments on in layers from the inside out. The plainer glass ball ornaments and garland go inside and my favorite ornaments are on the outside. I like a lot of ornaments on the tree. 🙂

The Bears have gone to the North Pole. I found their note on the tree this morning. My oldest who is up early to finish up his shopping noticed they’re absence and read the note, and chuckled, and said, ” Pretty neat Mom.” as he gazed at the tree with a huge smile. I hope he was remembering something about a Christmas Eve morning he woke to no bears under the tree or some other Christmas memory. 🙂

Merry Christmas to you and your family too! xx

    1. Thank you Dan! My children liked it when they were little. I’m hoping #1 Grandson does too. Of course as they got into their teens they thought I was silly for still doing it. I actually quit hiding them on Christmas Eve Day when my youngest was 15 or 16 years old, but when #1 Grandson was born I started it again. 🙂
