Agapantha Abstract Watercolor

c2015 Deborah M. Zajac All Rights Reserved

I’ve always wished that I could paint. I’ve taken lessons, and classes several times throughout my life trying to learn how. I never feel like I’ve made huge amounts of progress, but  I  keep trying…I broke out my watercolor paints over the last week in my on going attempt to get better.

I definitely need to get better at mixing colors!

    1. Oh, neat idea Melissa! My Agapantha’s are just starting to bud. I’ll try to isolate just one in portrait orientation and try that although I must confess that painting anything at all sounds daunting and makes my stomach quiver! But. I bought a new set of watercolors and want to use them so I’m up for the challenge. 🙂 Thank you for the idea!

      1. I always tell my students to relax, have fun, and get absorbed in the process without worrying about the results. You already have a great eye, and that’s the biggest thing. I hope we keep seeing them? 🙂

      1. You’re very kind; thank you. Your photos will inspire me, I’m quite sure! I love following talented photographers, because often a photo will inspire a piece of artwork. Thanks for sharing your work here.

  1. Bravo for nurturing your inner creative! Perhaps a Monet lives inside. I’ve always wanted to learn to draw and paint. Keep going Deborah!

    1. Thank you so much Geo! I miss you so!! I’ve always thought I have an inner Monet, but it’s hidden…deeply hidden! Or I skipped the talent dole out on that day for a shopping or nature excursion instead so know I should have it and feel it missing acutely! 🙂

A penny for your thoughts...
