This is a new wildflower for me. I think it’s beautiful. There were a few other new ones for me on today’s 5.5mile hike.
I’m wiped out! The hills were rolling, but steep.

This is a new one for me as well. It is beautiful, isn’t it? Your photo of it is exquisite.
It is a beautiful flower, but that’s a good hike this early in the season.
Thank you Dan! My body agrees with you about it being early for that long or steep of a hike. I suffered with calf, quad, and feet cramps beginning at mile 4. I finally was able to stop the cramping around 11pm by ingesting a tsp of table salt.
I really got out of shape quick. I’ll be stepping up my game. 🙂
