I was hoping to photograph the Eclipse on August 27th, but we’d had rain, and clouds for a couple of days and on Eclipse day it wasn’t looking promising out here. I set up anyway hoping for a pocket or a hole in the clouds.

No luck. Skunked again. We did have a beautiful pink sunset that evening though so, it kind of made up for missing the Eclipse.

  1. wow–what a stunning sunset your give to us, Deborah. Thank you! Our night was mostly cloudy that night, but the clouds parted for a little while and I got to see a part of it. But I didn’t see a sunset that night like this one, so I am happy.

    1. Thank you so much, Yvette! Maybe we’ll get lucky and the next Total Lunar Eclipse. I’ll have to go somewhere to see it as it’s in June and it will be below the horizon when it starts and when it hits maximum here the Moon will be rising and be so dim I probably won’t be able to see it at all.

  2. Sad about the clouds Deborah we have often had this problem down south missing the southern lights. Two of our family while in Spain witnessed it clearly, they cried as many did with the awesomeness of the dark.
