I wondered immediately if a transplanted ship captain built that house. It looks like it belongs in a New England whaling community.

Northern NV is lovely. We have Cottonwoods, big and small pine trees, along with sagebrush and rabbitbrush. 😊

I like those porches as well especially the top floor one. The view of the lake from up there back then must been very beautiful.
