How whimsical that turtle is.

Isn’t it cute! I’ve found out from a neighbor that the owners didn’t dress it up but, several neighbors in the community decided to add 4th of July holiday flare to it all on their own and individually…not planned, and the owners played along. In fact he’s now lost his hat, and flag, but was still wearing the ribbon when I saw it on Sunday. 😊

I hope that the sound of the fireworks doesn’t scare the turtle like it does the dogs. I like the subtle fireworks in the distant background. You were seeing two shows at once.

I don’t know if there were fireworks in the neighborhood this year as we weren’t here this year for Independence Day. Usually it’s quiet here and no fireworks are set off.
We actually saw three shows but, the third one was a ways out so their fireworks were tiny for us that year.
