Plus 1:
It’s out of my wheelhouse to promote other’s work, but I’m so excited I’m sharing a book and author this week.
Several months back Dan Antion of https://nofacilities.com/2023/09/20/introducing-rascal-todd/
had a give-away of his soon to be published 4th novel and I won it!
The book was released last Wednesday and I received my copy. I’m so excited to read this 4th book that goes along with his first three books in his Dreamer’s Alliance series, but this fourth book is also a “stand alone” book. The series is terrific. I’m so glad we get to meet new characters and follow some of the original characters in the new book whom I didn’t want to say good-bye to. You know how that goes when you really like the book right? 😀
What I’ll be reading next week:

Have a lovely Sunday, and great week everyone!

more to come...
Beautiful image … I like the soft negative space … gives the feeling of small. Taking note of author and hoping for an audio book through the Libby app.

Your bird is looking at me, Deborah! Haha, what a great capture! I love birds. I can hardly wait for my garden to be complete so I can feed birds and watch them. Congratulations on winning Dan’s new book.

Lovely shot of that cutie, Deborah, although I don’t think birds really have anything qualifying as a rump, but there is yellow there. 😉🤣🤣

Thank you so much, Gordon! I wish I had this lens for our Eagle trip. Hopefully we can do that trip again this winter.

Yes, as long as it’s not snowing over Mount Shasta; hate driving in the snow over mountain passes.

Hopefully, we have a milder winter so we can make that trip this winter, but people here are saying it may be another hard one.

Along the Olympic coast of WA we saw the flock of Bald Eagles! They lived in that area going towards Point Flattery.

Are any birds beside this warbler named yellow-rumped, or other-color-rumped?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I did a quick search and can only find the Yellow-rumped Warbler, but there very well could be other colors of rumps and birds named for their rump color patch. I just don’t know of any.

Maybe you’ll kick up a rumpus in the world of birders by discovering a new species of bird with a colorful rump.

Wow, Dan!! I only knew you as one of the lead guys now leader of Thursday Doors. Didn’t know that you authored a book series!!
Sorry I disappeared from TD; one of these days I’ll have to rejoin. Had some hard disk failures and lost many original files so I’ll have to restart from the beginning.
Congrats on your new book!
Gordon
