I haven’t shared any of the birds I’ve been seeing lately so thought I’d share some of the birds I’ve seen in the last month or so .

The Yellow-headed, and Red-winged Blackbirds are back, and I’ve seen several Robins, and some water birds, but I’ll share those soon.
The weather has warmed up so we’re turning the sprinklers back on, and breaking out the outdoor cushions this week-end, and setting up my new birdbath!
I hope you all have a lovely week-end!

Oh I really enjoyed seeing these fantastic bird photos, Deborah. The phainopepla is a prize to find, and the pinyon jay, oh that is just super. Great owl and Downy w-p too, and a golden eagle! Quite a bonanza here.
It was a great month for birding that’s for sure! Thank you so much, Jet! Enjoy your week!!😀
I’m reading this sitting on the porch, first time this year. Hello spring and our beautiful feathered friends. Love the golden eagle!
Thank you so much, Jennie! I hope it continues to be lovely on your porch.
That Golden Eagle was such a bonus and exciting sighting! 😍
You’re welcome, Deborah. I can imagine your excitement at seeing the eagle.
Awesome captures Deborah! I’m happy to have the first hummingbird(s) arrive at my feeder, and hearing all the birds singing too!
Thank you so much, Denise! I miss Hummingbirds. Where I live we don’t see them often but, they do more in town and Carson City.
Great shots, Deborah! I especially like the one of the little woodpecker.
Thank you so much, Sue!!
Great photographs! I will certainly have Clyde check these out.
Thank you so much, Kendall! 😍
Fabulous shots, Deborah, especially the Golden Eagle, WOW!!!
Thank you so much, Donna! It was exciting to see it flying towards me.
Good variety of birds, looking forward to seeing some more!
Thank you, John! Me too!
How wonderful to be seeing and photographing so many beautiful birds.
Thank you so much, Robert! It is pretty neat to see such a variety.
Handsome feathered friends you have there. Nice shots.
Thank you so much, Judy! It was a good month for birding. 😀
Glorious photos, Deborah, especially that first one.
Thank you so much, Janet! Seeing that Golden was awesome!
Nice series, Deborah! Enjoy the weekend too😊
Thank you so much, Belinda! You too! 😀
Certainly sounds like Spring there Deborah, and the new birdbath is a wonderful edition. Loved your showcase of birds, and the new seasons arrivals. Our birdbaths continue daily to give us so much enjoyment and pleasure watching our local birds, which we have come to know and love, and they have come to know us. It is so lovely to hear the male and female magpie sing together for us during and after their baths.
Thank you, Ashley!! I wonder if the Black-billed Magpies we have here will use the birdbath? I’ll let you know!
Have a great week-end!!
Thanks Deborah, I hope they sing as beautifully as ours 😊
I’ve never seen an eagle, Deborah! Your photo is gorgeous. I’ve only seen a hawk. More and more birds show up as the weather is warmer. I need to get my camera out. Thank you for sharing the photos.
Thank you so much, Miriam!! Where you live now you just may! They’re all over the state either in breeding, non breeding, or year round depending on where you live in the state. Their range map is here:

Get that camera ready! 😀🦅
I would love to look at the map to find out where to see them. Thank you, Deborah.
I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you to see one soon!! 😀
I like that, Deborah!! 😀
Hi, your photos are gorgeous! I haven’t seen a Golden Eagle in a long time. While visiting, Salida and Buena Vista when we had friends that lived there, I would see the Pinyon Jays. I truly admire the black and white owl photo! Hope you enjoy your weekend.
Hi, Thank you, Sheila! It had sometime since I had last seen a Golden Eagle too. I was so excited to see it.
I hope you have a great week-end too!
Terrific photos, Deborah. That golden Eagle is stunning.
Thank you so much, John! It was exciting to see that Golden Eagle. It had sometime since I last saw one.
I would not be able to hold the camera steady.
All it takes is practice you’d be able to for sure! 😀
But to see the eagle would be thrilling
It would be!
Thanks for sharing these beauties, Deborah! Have fun with the bird bath 🛁
Thank you so much, BJ!! 🌻
Excellent work, Deborah! Looking at these on a cold, rainy day is an extra special treat. Hope you have a great weekend as well!
Thank you so much, Paul! I hope you have a great week-end!
The top picture I find majestic, Deborah! If I were to start a new country I would choose that to be my national flag.
Thank you so much, Peter! It would make a great national emblem/bird for sure.😀🦅
The photo of the golden eagle in flight is stunning, Deborah. I love the owl in the nest, too. I still haven’t seen an owl in the wild. We have Downy Woodpeckers, but I’ve never seen a Pinyon Jay or a Phainopepla, both pretty birds and excellent photos. I hope you have a great weekend.
The Pinyon Jay lives out here where there are Pinyon Pines, and Phainopepla lives in the Southwest. I was lucky to see that one while out walking in the canyon behind my son’s place while I was looking for wildflowers or I wouldn’t haven’t seen it either. It’s only the second time I’ve seen the Phainopepla so I was pretty excited and I saw a pair! The male was hiding in the leaves and wouldn’t come out for his photo op. 😀
Thank you so much, Dan! I hope you have a great week-end as well!
Four out of your five bird pictures involve trees. Would you say that’s where you find the majority of your birds?
I’d say yes. Perched in trees or shrubs.
