Wonderful to see the IL summer wildflowers, Deborah, especially now that we’re into the autumn months. I so love black-eyes Susans.

Great pics, Deborah! The Yellow Coneflowers make me think of Black-Eyed Susans, our state flower here in Maryland.

They reminded me of those as well! Thanks so much, Paul! I learned something today…your state flower! 😀

Don’t seem that I have been anywhere with many wild flowers for a while, it is fun enjoying yours! Nice shots.

It was so pretty there and I was so surprised by how green it was and of course there was so much marsh land. I loved seeing it. Thank you so much for that lovely compliment. I’m going to float all day on that!! 💗💕

Another name for wild carrot is Queen Anne’s Lace, at least where I come from. Great shots!

Thank you so much, Deb! You know I thought it might be Queen Anne’s Lace as well, but my book on Wildflowers of No. America has it and Wild Carrot listed as a different blooms and it looks slightly different than this one…So I’m not entirely sure.

We have black-eyed susans in Austin, too. I suspect they don’t grow wild in Nevada.

I haven’t seen any that weren’t cultivated here. Echinacea as well. It was lovely seeing both in the wild!

Be still my heart. These could be from the park in Naperville where I always walked. ❤️

How cool! I did notice that Naperville wasn’t too far away from Orland Park when I was looking at the map. 💕
