Difficult lighting situation. I like the birds looking over their shoulders at you.

I love those over the shoulder looks. 😀 Thank you so much, Robert! Yes, it was in the middle of the day so tough lighting.

Love it! The blackbird must be waiting for the bubbles to bubble up for the bubble bath 🙂

The female looks quite different from the male.

They really do! Until you get used to they way they look identifying them can be tricky. At least it was for me in the beginning.

I never would have known this was the female, so thank you!

Ha, now that you mention it, what we call bird-watching CAN veer close to peeping-tom syndrome, depending on what the birds are doing! xD Great shot, Deborah.

Now that you mention it is like peeping-tom/birds!! 😂 That’s how those two made me feel too. Thank you so much, Paul!

LOL! They were trying to have one until I arrived. 😂 I did let them get back to it after this shot.

Nice shot Deborah, the birds look a little cautious at your presence.

Thanks, Ashley! They were as they just wanted to get back to their bathing. 😀

A wonderful perspective that captures the heads turning against the water that seems to look the same way.

I’ve seen redwing blackbirds in Texas and Illinois. When I checked their range map just now I found they spend at least some time in all 49 American states in North America.
