Here are a few images I’ve made showing the Fall Colors in the Eastern Sierras and Carson Valley between October 5th and the 9th.
West Fork Carson River-

Aspens-

Friday Oct. 9th late afternoon while coming home from photographing some fall color I stopped to make this image.

I’m planning to return here next week when the front trees should be more yellow/orange.
I hope your week is going well!

Stunning. 🙏❤
Beautiful 💙💙
Thank you so much, Susan!
OMGosh, Deborah, “West Fork Carson River.” Running out of ways to say, WOW! All of the photos are beautiful!❤️
I never tire of hearing or saying WOW myself. 😃 Thank you so much for this lovely comment, Erica! xx
Don’t know that I’ve ever thought of Nevada as a focus of fall foliage. I’m happy to be informed otherwise.
We have lovely autumn colors along the river, and in the mountains.
Then we’ll look forward to seeing more fall colors from you.
Stunning, Deborah! You don’t get the reds that we do here in the northeast, do you?
No, not naturally, but people are planting trees with reds in neighborhoods.
Oh, I’m glad to hear that. Will red maples thrive in CA?
I’m in NV now, but they do! We planted a Hot Wing Maple last fall and was doing okay until all the smoke hit the valley. I’m hoping it survives, but its leaves aren’t red and lovely like they should be. Other red trees on the street are just gorgeous!
I’m so sorry, Deborah! I knew you were in NV. That is good news on the reds. I do hope your tree survives.
Us too! Thanks, Jennie!

Those fall colors are just beautiful, Deborah. And I love that reflection of the mountains!!
It’s a great view, but less than ideal spot to photograph them from. It’s right off a bridge on the freeway!
Beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Such beautiful golden colors! I especially love the dirt road shot!
Isn’t it great? I plan to do a 4 seasons series at that spot. Thank you!
Awesome! Looking forward to the winter version!
Like the trees are spun with gold. Gorgeous.
They are aren’t they! Thanks, Cheryl.
💕
Gorgeous shots, Deborah, love love love the mountain reflection shot!
Thank you so much, Donna!
Beautiful shots especially the road which allows for wonderful visions of where it leads.
Thank you so much, Judy! Isn’t that a great driveway!
Just lovely. I can picture myself driving down that tree-lined lane as I return home. So welcoming.
Isn’t it lovely? I never really noticed it until this fall!
All beautiful, Deborah but the mountain reflection is stunning.
Thank you so much, Dan! I love reflections too.
Dearest Deborah,
Those photos are magazine worthy.
Especially your capture of those two majestic Aspen trees!
Enjoy your region.
Hugs,
Mariette
Thank you so much, Mariette!
🍂
So pretty, I particularly like the aspens!
Thank you so much, Belinda!
Very pretty! Our aspen colors are mostly done but the cottonwoods are showing us nice golds.
The Cottonwoods are peaking here around the river too. Thank you so much, Denise!
Beautiful pictures! This is my favorite time of year with all the amazing tree colors.
Mine too! Plus sweaters, and tall boots come out of my closet! 😀
Thank you!! Sweaters and sweatshirts are my fav!
🧡🍁🍂
Beautiful, Deborah. The lake and the mountain shot is spectacular.
Thank you so much, John!
Hmmm, I like them all. They all show different aspects of autumn beauty.

Thank you so much, Janet!
These glorious autumn photos are a joy, Deborah. I really like the mountain reflection in the first one, and the symmetry and lines in the last one.
Thank you so much, Jet! I do love reflections.
I love the first one, with the mirroring.
Me too,Pit! This stop deserves another stop by because the trees are even more yellow now. I was a wee bit too early yet on this day. Thank you for the visit! Hope you have a lovely day!
Am looking forward to your pictures from the re-visit.
Have a great day, too.
Beautiful photos. Those colors are just the perfectly autumnal.
Thank you, Ally! I long for more reds and oranges, but these yellows are beautiful and I am missing my Ginko tree with it’s lovely fan shaped leaves and this time of year yellow leaves.
Lovely fall colours. It is such a lovely time of the year. (Suzanne)
Thank you so much, Suzanne! It is my favorite time of year.
Gorgeous! I’m missing my Eastern reds and purples (of course) but the Western fall colours are beautiful in their own way.
Deb
Thanks, Deb! I wish we had more reds and purples, but do love the yellows, and some orange that we do get.
