    1. Thank you so much, Denise! I’m not sure which type of Pines those trees were. I need to get better at identifying them since I am hiking in them more and more. I can tell a Juniper from a Pine tree now. I’ve made baby steps. 😀

  2. Western Tanager, now there is a bird with a color show! You got a nice capture here with all the colors showing and in a great environment too! Beauty for sure.

    1. I think they’re just passing through or breeding here in the west. Lemme look at my book. Hold please… yes, breeding here during Spring maybe into Summer per my Nat Geo book on birds of North America. I don’t know where they live the rest of the year.
