The swallowtail butterfly is fabulous, Deborah, what a great photo.

This is such a perfectly stunning capture, Deborah. The butterfly details have not one smudge. Sometimes there is a tear in their wing or the “dust” is not even, a place where the color is worn and it becomes see through. Wow!

I thought this one looked pretty new because its wings look nearly perfect.
Thank you so much Robin for the lovely comment!

Thank you so much Joey! That Lantana bush has the prettiest pink and yellow combo. I’m sure glad the Fritillary’s and Skippers like it.
I do wish the Swallowtails did too!
I need to find a plant they love and plant one. 🙂

Well done, Deborah! We are in the last stretch of a rather bleak winter. Your image is, therefore, really striking. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much Cobus! It’s good to hear from you. Winter was rather wet here. Spring is coming!
I’m already hearing and reading about people seeing signs of Fall here.

Thank you so much Melissa! I think it’s the first of the Summer Fritillary’s. It’s the first one I’ve see in my yard all Summer. It was gorgeous, and I’ve seen it feeding at the Lantana in the afternoons since I made this image.

Thank you so much Dan! This Fritillary seemed to be brand new. It looked so vivid, and just about in perfect condition.
It’s the first one I’ve seen this Summer at my Lantana. The Skippers have been here for months already. 🙂
