Great captures! I can hear the noise!! I am anxious to go see & hear them here around the mid-Atlantic, they’ve arrived in huge flocks. 🙂

Look at all the snow geese! The huge gathering along the water with the peach and lavender blushed sky was outstanding, Deborah. The individuals reading their detailed photoshoots were so beautifully captured.

Deborah; If a picture = 1,000 words then your word count is waaay up there! Lovely job catching the snowies in flight and the mass lift off. We see the snowies up north here in smaller numbers but it would be a real treat to see them on-mass.

Thank you so much Harold! Maybe one snowy, cold winter you’ll winter down here where the weather is milder, and the birding pretty great. 🙂

Great series of photos, Deborah. Wordless? Hmmm. I don’t know if I could handle that 🙂

Thank you so much Dan! You didn’t notice that I wasn’t totally wordless? I did give it a little intro and added my usual camera info. Hope that’s not cheating for a Wordless Wednesday post. I guess I can’t be totally wordless either. 🙂

Under 100 words is wordless in my book. I like seeing the camera info.

Lovely captures. That last one though!! I have never seen that many birds in one place before. It must have been quite the sight 🙂

Thank you so much Amy! It’s pretty neat to see them all take to the sky at once. It’s usually an Eagle or Harrier Hawk that comes by looking for a meal that sets them off. The noise! The honking and squawking is so loud and amazing.
Really, even when you lived in FL you didn’t see whole flocks of migrating birds on the ponds like this? I know birds winter there too.

I would flocks flying together, but I don’t remember seeing them in that large of numbers!
