It was pretty windy Saturday morning in Sacramento Valley while on the refuge birding. I loved the way its breast feathers/hair looked all fanned out, and don’t you just love that log/perch he chose to stand on? I did! 🙂

The log is a great perch, I bet you can find him there often! It also gives nice balance and composition for Mr. GBH! 🙂

It is such a beautiful bird and back drop that is is hard to imagine it is real! Him standing there so bold and proud! Lovely

That’s beautiful Deborah. I don’t recall ever seeing one look so fluffy. I’m also used to seeing them standing in water – those are some big feet!
