I met some photographers last night in the City (San Francisco) to photograph the Christmas Lights in Embarcadero Center. The Star of the show is the white light on the TransAmerica Pyramid Building and it’s blue reflection for me.

Traffic was absolutely horrible getting into the city yesterday. What should have taken just under an hour took 2 hours! It was worth the drive though. It wasn’t too cold, and the lights are gorgeous.
On another note. I have not been successful with Adobe reactivating or fixing my CS6 photo editing software so, I bit the bullet today and subscribed to the CC Photography package. I have Bridge CC, Lightroom 2015 CC, and Photoshop CC 2015 all installed, and working. Now I’m trying to figure out how to get my plug-ins, presets, and actions installed into PSCC, and LRCC. I’ve got two actions installed. There’s hope I’ll figure it all out! 🙂

More to come…
Outstanding image.

Since Adobe moved to the subscription plan it really has been a fear, and pain in my side! I’m all in now so I won’t whine about it anymore…unless I can’t get it all set up as it was before that is! 🙂

I pay monthly too! But I could not afford the big package all at once!

Oh, don’t remind me! I saved up forever to be able to buy Custom Suite! I hope this monthly thing works out.
Btw- I accidentally deleted one of your comments while getting ready to reply. By the time I got back to the page and was going to click UNDO it disappeared! That has happened to me a few times. The UNDO doesn’t give me enough time to actually UNDO anything!! I’m so sorry! I’m a poor typist and am forever hitting the wrong keys, and leaving out words. “(

Good luck with Adobe. They certainly don’t make is easy. Great photo. I really like reflections.

Thank you so much Dan! They aren’t at the top of my list as very customer friendly this last couple of months. Hopefully I’ll be happy with the CC version. He-Man has encouraged me to make the move since shortly after Adobe made this their method of delivery because I use the software every day. This way I’ll have all the updates and latest and greatest he says. I love that! 🙂 I’ve just been stubborn not wanting to the pay monthly route. We’ll see how that goes. I had hoped to just pay for the year, but I wasn’t given that option.

Beautifol shot. I’ve visited SF several times but cannot figure out where you shot this from. I guess I have the wrong idea of where the Embarcadero Centrr is.

Thank you so much BuntyMcC! Hahaha! Just last evening I was looking at an image made looking at a part of the waterfront, and I couldn’t figure out where the person took the shot. I got on google maps and sussed it out. 🙂
I was over at Treasure Island looking across the bay at the city. Next time you’re in the SF if you’ve never been to TI to see the city I recommend it! Don’t forget to turn around. The view the other direction is pretty too. 🙂

Whew, so you weren’t actually at the Embarcadero when you took this; I thought I was going nuts. I’ll keep TI in mind!

We have been reluctant to go for CS6 because of the risk of having Adobe just rip it out from under us. Is that what happened to you? We are stumbling along with CS5, but not sure how long that will be viable.

Hi Judilyn, That’s how it feels! One day last month I opened my CS6 and it was in the Trial Version of CS6 Extended. There was no way out of the trial so I let it go and at the end of the trial I called Adobe and asked them to re-register or reactivate my CS6 and they couldn’t do it. They kept having me enter my serial number to license the software, but it just kept looping back to the dialog box telling me I could use the software by licensing it or buying it. 6 hours on the phone with tech support and I got no where. Now, that I’ve upgraded to CC my CS6 is working again. Which tells me they probably could have re-registered it or reactivated it and they didn’t. “(

I was working at Apple when Adobe started up with Photoshop and the rep gave me a copy of the original program. Their tactics are abominable now.
