Here’s another photograph I took while out in the countryside with Rainey and Rene. The clover tinting the hills with pink is lovely this year.

His gaze was so intense it was a bit unnerving.

Baby Girl and I took the boys to the zoo for the afternoon. It was fun. I hope to do it again soon.
The boys:
4 year old Step-Grandson aka Spiderman had a blast and loved the Children’s zoo with the giant web made of rope, and #1 Grandson 16 weeks- slept the whole time. 🙂

Rene spotted the male high in a tree and when Rainey and I started to approach to get bit closer he flew away and a moment later the female flew out of a nearby tree. They landed on this barbed wire fencing not too far from me.
Rainey pulled out her cell phone and got her Bird app fired up and started playing Bluebird calls. They were listening and liking it here.
When we tried the phone app later in the day the bluebirds flew away.

I took this frame right after the sun dropped below the horizon or very near it. There wasn’t much color on this evening due to the fog rolling in, but I liked the rosy-golden light, and mist in the valley.

From a day with Rainey and Rene in the countryside hunting wildflowers. The clover was more prevelant than the poppies this year.
We saw Golden Eagles, and a Bald Eagle pair too, but they were too far for my lens to capture anything good. Right now it was enough to see them. I’m so glad they’re making a comeback in California!
