I’m guessing it wasn’t a good day fishing?

  1. It is said that shoes draped over a power line indicate an area to purchase illegal narcotics. I am not sure of that, but if there is any truth I must wonder what fishing tackle draped over a power line might indicate. Something fishy going on, no doubt. 😊

  2. It does tell a sad story Deborah, but could be even sadder should a bird land on it and become entangled. I have seen so many birds affected by fishing hooks and line. I know of one sea eagle that has a piece of hook and line permanently attached to its leg. No one has been able to free it as far as I know,

    1. Oh my gosh, Ashley, that is so true. Sadly, while photographing shore birds in Santa Cruz, CA. one year with a friend we saw a Sea Gull with fishing line wrapped around its ankle so badly it was bleeding. My friend who isn’t afraid or timid when it comes to helping birds got the bird and we took it to a help center where they were able to get it off. It was so, so, sad. Thankfully, that one had a happy ending though.

  3. I smiled at the red and white bobber. That’s what I used (with my cane pole) when Dad would take me down to a small Iowa river to fish. We did a lot of fishing, but I don’t recall much catching.
