Nice to see a Butterfly shot, I have not been out in the heat to take any this year, if we get any monsoons maybe I’ll get out. I like this shot of the Cabbage White.

I just learned about the ‘portrait’ mode on my iPhone. Your photo reminds me of that wonderful effect, except yours is superior.

Oh, how fun! I love shallow depth of field. I hope you have loads of fun playing with your iPhone’s portrait mode! It’s a good one to use on flowers too or anything that you want to isolate the subject, but blur out the background.

That butterfly is a creature we all have in common in great numbers in summer, but not very welcome by gardeners.

We have been enjoying a lot of Cabbage Whites, and Tiger Swallowtails this year. They can come to my garden anytime. I even had a Swallowtail feeding on my Hummingbird feeder! That was a first, and me without my camera ready. 😭

Yes like our Honeyeater birds they have a liquid diet of nectar from flowers through their proboscis

These seem to be so generally flitty I have a hard time finding one willing to sit still. This is lovely.
