I had a walk-around the neighborhood Sunday morning and found Spring everywhere.
The flowering trees are in bud, and beginning to blossom while others are in full bloom!
A Prayer in Spring by Robert Frost-
“Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.”~Robert Frost (from A Boy’s Will, 1915)

The huge white flowering tree was a hive of activity in the canopy. The buzz of bees
was dizzying, and the warmth of the sun on my face when I looked up felt wonderful, healing, and nourishing.
The branches were heavy with blossoms,

papery white, with lovely “look at me!” centers.

Plus one more…
Nearly home I found a huge Sweat Pea vine spilling over a fence with dozens of busy bees.

I didn’t click like since you’re not feeling well! 😦 My son has the same problem when Spring hits Maryland.

You don’t say! What happened to winter?

We had winter, and if we’re lucky we still might get some more rain. We sure could use it.

Your photos are a delight to my eyes! I can almost breathe in the sweet scent from the Sweet Pea flowers! And the blue sky is a lovely background for the delicate white flowers. Thank you for sharing your photos! 😄 And I love Robert Frost! 💜

Thanks for a little bit of time travel Deborah. While our unseasonably warm winter had the Daffodils confused, we won’t see this much beauty for a few months.

I worry about a frost coming along and wiping everything out when things bloom this early, but it is delightful, to see after seeing bare trees for months.

We were worried about too many things getting ‘spring’ signals but the forecast for Saturday night is -6

OH! Way too cold. Hope your wood pile is holding up.
I should check our forecast b/c it started clouding up late this afternoon. It won’t be that cold thankfully.

It’s going to warm right back up. They’re predicting high 30s and rain on Monday.

No not PA. South of San Francisco 50 miles in San Jose. 🙂 Thank you so much!

But you’re a Steelers fan? Sorry, just assumed you were in PA. Your photo makes much more sense now. 💜

My husband was born and bred in Steeler country. He and the kids are Steeler fans. Over the years they’ve grown on me. FWIW: I’ve lived in CA since I was 1. xx
